Magnus’s full set of professional assembly and disassembly tools for the McLaren M838T and M840T engines, developed through the company’s McLaren short-block programme so these motors can be built accurately and without damage.

Tools in the range

Crankshaft Main Tool / retaining bridge (pair) — holds the crank in any position and allows rotation when fitting pistons and rods (MMCTOL0001)
Camshaft Timing Tool — sets cam timing (MMCTOL0002)
Crankshaft Locking Pin — pins the crank to the 45-degree position for setting camshafts (MMCTOL0003)
Oil Pump Pulley Puller — removes the oil pump pulley without damage (MMCTOL0004)
Sleeve Puller and Installer — removes and refits the wet engine sleeves (MMCTOL0006)
