Swapping a TH400 into an R35 GTR usually comes with a catch: you get the transmission you want for the strip, but the car fights you everywhere else — warning lights, dead gauges, electronics that don't know what to make of the new driveline. UMP-R35 exists so you don't have to make that trade.

Written by Connexion Concepts for the MoTeC M1 platform, UMP-R35 is custom firmware that keeps all of your R35's factory electronics working exactly as they should — and keeps the car all-wheel drive — while taking full, purpose-built control of the TH400 with real drag-race functionality.

What it does

  • Factory electronics keep working. Your dash, gauges and sensors run as normal — nothing goes dark or throws a fault just because the driveline changed.
  • Still all-wheel drive. The conversion replaces the factory auto with the TH400 driveline and keeps AWD. The M1 controls it so it drives on the street and launches hard at the strip.
  • TH400 control built for the strip. The M1 takes command of the TH400 with drag-race strategy — shift control aimed at putting power down and running consistent passes.
  • Built for your car, not a generic flash. Every package is generated per customer around your exact combination, so the firmware matches the hardware you're actually running.

How it works

  2. We get in touch for what we need: your MoTeC M1 serial and package, plus your engine and transmission spec.
  3. We generate and supply firmware matched to your car, backed by 3 months of support.
