Description
Multiple-fuel (MF) mechanical fuel pump compatible with petrol, methanol and ethanol, designed to simplify a high-horsepower fuel system and improve reliability over multiple electric pumps. The inlet and outlet sit on the same side of the pump, removing the need for elbows or U-bends — useful in tight transverse engine bays. It can be driven by the distributor, cam or dry sump system with the appropriate bracket, and can run clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Constructed from billet aluminium with hand-lapped hardened internal gears, in an anti-galling, corrosion-resistant, DLC-coated gear housing to suit the low-lubricity of alcohol fuels. Because it is mechanical, it shuts off fuel in the event of engine failure or fire.
Flow and capability (at 80% IDC, 5000 rpm pump speed = half engine speed)
- 9.7 GPM @ 40 psi — up to 2800 hp methanol / 4300 hp ethanol / 5700 hp petrol
- 8.5 GPM @ 60 psi — up to 2500 hp methanol / 3700 hp ethanol / 5000 hp petrol
Driven by a keyed 1/2″ shaft with .125″ key, or a 3/8″ male hex shaft. Currently offered in black only.
